The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) today announced that Omologato is now the official watch of the leading vintage racing organization in America. The founding design philosophy of the business is motorsport culture. Throughout the sport, it has affiliations, including collaborations with world-famous tracks such as Watkins Glen International and Monza.
“Omologato is rooted in the culture of motorsports worldwide,” said Tony Parella, CEO of SVRA. “What SVRA is about is their slogan, ‘Honoring the past by racing into the future.'”
The company derives its name from Omologato Gran Turismo (GTO). Omologato is Italian for homologate, a term that refers to sports cars classified as ready to compete by a governing body.
As I can recall, I loved motorsport, so it’s a privilege to combine my love of design, watches, and racing to form my business,” said Shami Kalra, CEO of Omologato.” “With SVRA and the entire SpeedTour format, which includes two more of our partners, Formula 4 USA, and Formula Regional Americas that we joined earlier this year, everyone at Omologato will feel very much at home.”

The Omologato product line is affordably priced and built with different racing themes for hundreds of handcrafted watches. Kalra depends on a huge reservoir of stories and information to find inspiration in order to catch the attention of fans and sports leaders alike. As an homage to the Brickyard, one watch has bricks carved into its back. Another boasts the red 7:22 numbers, the time of day when Stirling Moss launched the 1955 Mille Miglia off the starting ramp. The imagination of racers captures such detail and sparks delightful tales of racing history. All watches offer subtle design elements that reference the great race cars, legendary drivers, and world-class race venues.
With a limited run of 250 special edition timepieces, Omologato will expand these design cues to SVRA. SVRA racers, available on a first-come, first-serve basis, may request the amount of runs they also use on their vehicle.
