The all new SEAT Leon has been voted “AUTOBEST 2021,” the European award for “Europe’s Best Buy Car 2021.”
The AUTOBEST jury is a panel of 31 judges consisting of some of Europe’s most respected automotive journalists. The business has taken the honour for the second time in SEAT’s 70-year history; SEAT Ateca won the same honor in 2017.It highlights the dedication to developing vehicles that go beyond the ordinary and offer something truly exceptional in the market.

The all new SEAT Leon has an impressive track record, with more than 2.3 million units being sold across all generations of the segment-defining car.
Since 2014, the SEAT Leon has been a best-seller in Spain and the launch of the fourth-generation vehicle has brought the best Leon ever to the market.

The SEAT Leon’s success has been built on a €1.1 billion investment to help take it to the next level in terms of connectivity, efficiency, dynamism and safety, but also to prepare the vehicle’s production facilities, as for the very first time, it is available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, in addition to the other energies.
The all-new SEAT Leon was designed and developed in Barcelona, to maintain its standing as not only a core pillar in the brand’s vehicle line-up, but also a standout vehicle in the segment.

The developments in communication, productivity, performance and protection for the all-new SEAT Leon, recently demonstrated by the five stars obtained in the 2020 Euro NCAP, have been achieved in part, thanks to the MQB Evo design of the vehicle, providing the toolkit needed to build a vehicle that meets the many and varied customer needs of SEAT.
The AUTOBEST Award is one of the most prestigious awards in Europe, running consecutively since its establishment in 2001. During the final, held in Austria in early November, the 31 journalists who make up the award panel had the opportunity to test drive the selection of SEAT Leon powertrains, including the plug-in hybrid version.
